Sooo, Ill be summarizing Dec.31 through um, now I suppose.
Here goes:
On New Years Eve we had our friends Heather and Aidan and Jamie and Chad over and had a big baby party. We had a baked potato bar and my Dads wife made some homemade vodka that was incredibly smooth and delicious. Jamie and I were drunk fairly early in the evening. Summer went to bed at 7, like usual, and we told Steve that midnight was at 10. Sneaky parenting, I know. Hattie partied with me in the Moby Wrap all night. She loves her nanny.
Summer celebrated her very 1st birthday with a house full of people and an absorbent amount of gifts and cake. Her very own smash cake that she tried to pick up whole and eat, it was too heavy so she went ahead and ate with her face. Charlie tried to take a bite of said cake, and she screamed. She doesn't like to share.
We then took a beautiful walk around Green Lake with our friend, Janet. It was one of the first nice days of the year and it was glorious to get a little vitamin D in.

I went to the ballet Sleeping Beauty with my Aunt Terry for my 28th birthday, that I didn't want to celebrate.
It was beautiful.
We also like to go snowboarding, Steve is an excellent skier. We put him on a snowboard at 4 and he wanted to switch to skis last year.Charlie has been on skis since he was 1 1/2 and snowboarding since 14. Ive only recently picked it up. Steve has no patience with me up there. Its always, "Ugh! Hurry up Mommy!" or "Is it Mommys last run yet?"
Such a nice boy Ive raised.
Steve started T-Ball and had his first school musical. I cried on both occasions.
We went to the Flannel Cup up at Stevens Pass. It was Summers first time up there and I forgot to grab gloves. Her hands were like ice by the time we left. Parenting at its finest.
I had to keep yelling at Steve to stop eating the snow.
There are tons and tons of other things but I think that'll do.
Man, I feel better
I've rediscovered the netbook and its convenience so I'll be blogging faithfully, I swear!
Cheers.
