Pumpkinpalooza

Pumpkin Patching at its best!
We normally go to Carleton Farms in Lake Stevens but Charlie decided that we needed to spice things up a little and do something different this year.
So, we went to Stocker Farms in Snohomish.
I made sure to grab my big huge tourist camera to capture all the family moments and then Charlie realized that I forgot to grab the CF card for it.
Which means, no pictures.
I promptly and loudly exclaimed "Oh shit!"
Then received the evil eye from my entire family as well as neighboring families with small children.
It was awkward.
I mumbled an apology and changed the subject.
We went out into the field and shortly realized that all the pumpkins were already cut from their stems.
Lame.
There was also a limited amount of mud.
Also Lame.

Overall though it was alright, we picked our pumpkins and Steve picked Gramma some sunflowers and then lectured her on how sunflower seeds are made...because my son is a genius.
We also bought some local honey there, the bees were right on site and we were able to look at them, through glass, while they made honey.
Steve is under the impression they make honey to order and made sure everyone at breakfast knew that the bees at the farm made it specifically for him...
then lectured everyone on how honey is made.
We still have yet to carve the pumpkins, that should be another adventure though, with which ill take pictures with my tourist camera, not my falling apart blackberry.

Cheers!
